| CAT5E Network Cables Get networked with our range of quality networking cables.
These cables are CAT5E, which is by far the most common type found in homes and offices. Other names by which they are known include:- - Ethernet - RJ45
'Straight' (also known as 'patch' or 'pin-to-pin') cables are used to connect between your PC and hubs or routers.
'Crossover' (also known as x-over) cables are used when connecting PC to PC. Called crossover because the transmit pin of one connector crosses over to the receive pin of the other (and visa-versa).
Much of the networking equipment available these days can use either straight or crossover cables by auto-detecting what is connected. See the documentation for your equipment, and look for the phrase 'auto-detect'.
To distinguish our cables - 'Straight' have grey connectors; 'Crossover' have green.
